Barcelona Playing at the Home side beats Real Sociedad 2-1 .

Lamine Yamal made a swift and decisive contribution upon returning from injury, setting up Robert Lewandowski’s decisive goal in Barcelona’s 2-1 triumph over Real Sociedad. It was Yamal’s first appearance since a groin problem sidelined him during the September international break, and his reintroduction proved pivotal for Hansi Flick’s squad.

Lamine and Lewandowski

Barcelona seized the opportunity to climb to the top of LaLiga, taking advantage of Real Madrid’s heavy 5-2 loss to Atletico Madrid just a day earlier.

Despite the win, the Catalan side had to rally from behind. Real Sociedad struck first in the 31st minute when Alvaro Odriozola converted a cross from Ander Barrenetxea, capitalizing on a defensive lapse by Jules Kounde. However, Kounde redeemed himself shortly before halftime, powering in a header from Marcus Rashford’s corner to level the score.

At the break, Flick made tactical changes, bringing on Dani Olmo and Yamal. The latter wasted no time making his mark—just over a minute after stepping onto the pitch, he weaved through defenders and delivered a pinpoint cross that Lewandowski headed home off the post.

Yamal nearly added another to the tally with a composed finish, but the goal was disallowed due to an offside call. The match remained tense until the final whistle, with both teams rattling the crossbar—Takefusa Kubo came close to equalizing, and Lewandowski responded moments later with a strike that also struck the woodwork.
