JOYTALK is looking for passionate, native-English-speaking Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) to join our team in Saitama Prefecture, starting in April 2026. Imagine working in friendly public schools just north of Tokyo, helping junior high and elementary school students discover the joy of English!

Is this you?

We’re looking for applicants who:

· Are native English speakers.

· Hold a bachelor's degree (in any field).

· Are excited to commit to at least one full school year, through March 2027.

· Genuinely enjoy working with children.

· Are a collaborative team player.

· Are outgoing and can take the initiative, even when navigating language barriers.

It would be a plus if you also have:


· A teaching qualification or education background.

· Some conversational Japanese skills.

· Previous ALT or teaching experience.

· A driver's license valid in Japan (handy, but not required!).

October 4, 2016 Skilled workers are leaving sub-Saharan Africa in rapidly increasingly numbers, producing a “brain drain” that causes long-term social damage, the International Monetary Fund warned Tuesday. The IMF said that the number of sub-Saharan migrants living in developed countries could increase from about seven million in 2013 to about 34 million by 2050.
