Program Overview

The Sustainable Procurement Fellowship (SPF) is a nationally recognized, award-winning professional development program designed to bridge the gap between corporate sustainability ambitions and practical procurement action. Now in its fourth year, the SPF provides procurement, supply chain, and sustainability professionals with the frameworks and tools necessary to integrate environmental, social, and ethical considerations into their organization’s purchasing decisions.

Delivered by CBSR (Canadian Business for Social Responsibility), the 2026 cohort is supported by Founding Partner HP Canada and Program Sponsor Microsoft.

Key Learning Objectives:

Fellows will engage in a cohort-based learning experience that prioritizes implementation over theory. Key outcomes include:

Applied Frameworks: Mastering tools for RFPs, supplier engagement, and internal decision-making.

Strategic Influence: Developing the skills to align internal stakeholders and build momentum for sustainable initiatives.

Expert Insights: Exposure to real-world case studies and best practices from industry-leading organizations.

Professional Networking: Joining a community of practice with peers across diverse sectors.

Target Audience & Eligibility

The program is tailored for professionals who possess the ability to influence or lead change within medium to large organizations. Ideal candidates typically include:

Procurement and Supply Chain Managers.

Sustainability and ESG Leads.

Professionals with 5–15 years of experience seeking to deepen their technical expertise in sustainable sourcing.

How to Apply

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. As the cohort has a limited capacity, early submission is strongly encouraged to secure a placement.

Information Session: Prospective applicants are invited to attend a virtual briefing on February 18, 2026.
